Mark the dates: we are waiting for you!
Luca Gilli, a refined photographer, the author of valuable exhibitions about which worthy critics and scholars have written with admiration, his works requested by museums and private collectors, returned to Villa Lanfranchi for several days when the Foundation asked him for a series of photographs that, telling the story of the Maestro’s home, would reveal some of the characteristics of the place and those who lived there. The result is a work of remarkable beauty and great emotion: although Luca Gilli had never met Mario Lanfranchi, his stay in those spaces made him grasp, through aesthetic, perceptive and empathic sensitivity, some aspects of the creative flair of the man who, in the last years of his long life, had devoted himself to the pleasure of giving new surface features to the many rooms of that ancient house, recognised by the Superintendency as a heritage site to be safeguarded.
